Since joining Know Public Relations in 2013, Justin has managed dozens of high-profile restaurant openings and directed social media and marketing campaigns that drive measurable action and sales.  Justin also brings a decade of reporting and writing experience to the agency along with a deep knowledge of the Washington, D.C. restaurant scene.

Prior to joining Know Public Relations, Justin covered D.C.’s thriving dining scene for the Washington Post’s Going Out Guide, writing about restaurant openings and closings, chef moves, local dining trends and the emergence of Washington as a national dining destination. Highlights include covering the openings of Graffiato and Rasika West End, D.C.’s food truck revolution and the arrival of the authentic taco as a 2012 food trend. Justin worked closely with the paper’s critic, Tom Sietsema, and Food staff writers to optimize the presentation of the Post’s food coverage on washingtonpost.com to achieve maximum visibility and utility to readers.

Previously, Justin led the Post’s listings desk, where he managed the team responsible for the weekly listings of the city’s music, art, theatre, restaurant, and comedy events appearing in Weekend, Style, Sunday Source, Book World, and the local Extras.

Prior to joining the Weekend section, Justin wrote for the Post’sSunday Source, a locally focused weekly guide for what to do in and around D.C.

Justin holds a B.A. in English literature from the College of William and Mary. He is married and is the father of two hungry boys. He and his family live in Northern Virginia.
